This seemed appropriate for a Motivation Monday. I was feeling kinda down last week: The really cold weather was discouraging me from running and forced me to cut a run short. And I’ve been missing a lot of gym sessions with my trainer because of scheduling conflicts. And then I was sent flat on my butt by a cold. John Scott, the People’s MVP

This is a story about a hockey player. But even more than that, it’s a story about a human. I started writing this as a Facebook post but it got much longer and detailed than I expected. I know this blog is mostly about running, but this is a great motivational story that transcends hockey, and kind of just warms the heart. Welcome to December, the last month of 2015! My how the times flies! This is a very busy time of year for everyone with Christmas parties and holidays, probably travelling, and then New Year’s Eve celebrations. Many people make New Year’s Resolutions to try to correct some overdosing they may have done over the holidays. I published New Year’s Resolutions at the beginning of 2014 and 2015. That’s good motivation, but it may not last for everyone.
