Mississauga Half-Marathon Goals

I’m running the Mississauga Half-Marathon this Sunday! It will be my third time running this half-marathon. I’m also running the Novo Nordisk “Hazel” 5km on the Saturday night. Doing both races means I’ll qualify for the Weekend Warrior Challenge! (I have no idea what the bonus is for that, but I can’t seem to say no to such challenges a la Dopey Challenge). I’m running the 5k with my girlfriend. Her first 5k was the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront 5k and she did it in 37:22. She’s aiming for 35 minute this time. That should be a comfortable pace for me. New Year’s Resolutions 2016

As New Year’s Resolution posts go, I’m VERY late. January’s almost over and I’m finally getting around to publishing this. But, better late than never! And, I better get this out before I have to write a January review!!   Unlike last year, a lot of my resolutions this year are much more difficult to quantify. I don’t think I can make them all SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, Time-Sensitive), but I’ll try.   SET NEW HALF-MARATHON PB I want to beat my current half-marathon personal best of 2:03:22 which I set during the 2012 Chilly Half-Marathon. Walt Disney World Goofy Challenge Goals 2016

As I’ve been saying for months and months and months, I’m running the Walt Disney World Goofy Challenge this weekend. This will be  my fourth time running the Walt Disney World Half-Marathon and Marathon together. The last time I was in Disney World was in 2014, and I ran 4 races in 4 days. This time I’m only doing the half and full.     I suppose the biggest challenge for me in this race is that I’m more or less doing it alone. New York City Marathon Goals

Start spreading the news I am leaving today I want to be a part of it New York, New York… It’s been a long road since I found out I got into the New York City Marathon back in March. It’s been a long, grueling summer with lots of ups and downs of training. At one point I wrote that I had 173 days until New York, but the countdown is finally ticking to an end. Toronto Waterfront Half-Marathon Goals

On Sunday, October 18, I’m running the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Half-Marathon. This race has special significance for me: When I ran the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Half-Marathon in 2010 was my first half-marathon, ever. I’ve run 19 other half-marathons since then. And I’ve run the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon 5k and Full-Marathon TWICE. But I haven’t been back to this half since it launched my running career. I also recently realized that it will be my 21st half-marathon.
