Typically, you want to go as lightweight as possible during runs. Otherwise you’re just carrying excess weight. However, there are a few things worth keeping with you at all times. One of those is your mobile phone.
A mobile phone is very handy in an emergency. If you are hurt, lost, really tired or just scared, you have access to a world of resources! You can call ambulances, taxis, family members, or your coach!
There are a few things you should be concerned about if running with a mobile phone. Obviously, you don’t want to drop it or lose it because it’s worth money! You should also worry about it getting wet from sweat, rain, snow or drinks. You can protect your phone with a waterproof case or just a ziplock bag.
