Top Protein Sources I’ve Recently Eaten

A while ago I talked about how I’ve been enjoying using MyFitnessPal.com to track my nutrition. In that post I also mentioned that I’ve been focusing on maximizing protein while minimizing calories. Protein is a really important macromolecule for a lot of reasons: The first and most obvious is that your muscles are built and repaired using protein you ingest. Second, and perhaps more importantly, protein makes you feel more full. A pure protein source is about 4 calories per gram. The Glutamine Experiment

Along the lines of things I never said I’d do (or do again), I’m taking a new artificial supplement: Glutamine. I’m a little embarrassed that I’m resorting to using another supplement, but I’ll take the chance and document the process for others to see. In the summer of 2012, I was convinced to buy into a system of nutritional supplements called ViSalus. It was essentially a meal replacement or protein powder. Nutrition Tracking with MyFitnessPal

As I mentioned in my September review, I’ve been using MyFitnessPal.com diligently for almost a month now. It has been a really eye-opening experience and another motivator for my weight loss journey.     Adding it All Up The principle is pretty simple: Create a free profile, log into the website, and enter each and every item of food that you eat and every exercise that you do.
